Installation of First Stone at Maha Mandir's Door, Swaminarayan Akshardham, New Delhi, 3 Mar 2002

Pramukh Swami Maharaj visited the under-construction Swaminarayan Akshardham site, to review the progress in the building of this grand spiritual monument. Swamishri admired the intricate craftsmanship, particularly the elaborately carved dome, appreciating the devotion and skill of the artisans. From the mahamandir podium, he reviewed the overall layout and discussed further developments with the team. During the visit, Pramukh Swami Maharaj also blessed key contributors, including Shri Harshad Chavda and site engineer Shri Ashwin Patel, acknowledging their dedicated service in the construction of the mandir. He interacted warmly with other volunteer devotees, offering encouragement and spiritual guidance. The visit reflected Swamishri’s deep involvement in every aspect of the project, from architectural details to community facilities. His guidance and blessings inspired all, reinforcing the spirit of seva (selfless service) and devotion that underpinned the creation of Akshardham.
