Description

They say, the third time is the charm! There are a lot of factors to consider when making candy. That is one thing I have learned over the process. I think the most important thing is when you are around 285, just turn off the heat. It will naturally get to the 300 that it needs to get to. I'm sure professionally cany makers have this dialed into an exact science so it is perfect every time. They have the equipment and systems in place because one wrong batch would cost them money. The last batch was just turning brown, but I caught it in time to make my lollipops green! The taste was not what I was expecting because they had the flavor and not that 1966 musty smell. I did eat a tiny piece just for fun, and would not eat an entire lollipop! I had fun experimenting and testing my process. Going forward, I know exactly what I will do and should get it on the first batch. I'm sure there will be more candy videos in the future. I could have just edited out the 2nd attempt, but my failure was part of the learning process and I wanted to make sure that it was included for the history of the set. As I had mentioned in the video, I have never seen these sets before and the reason could be, they were just hard to do. There is also the fact that once you use a set like this, you would not keep it. It looks like a disposable maker set. I'm glad I found this one and the Candy Apple Maker set. Here is the video for that one. https://youtu.be/Z13aBfu-jDo Lucky Penny Thoughts: LPS-Dave Later! AI Generated Welcome to Granny's Lollipop Kitchen!
