How to Check if your Window Defroster is Working using a Thermal Imaging Camera

How to test your rear window defroster using a thermal imaging camera. Here I’m using my thermal imaging camera from Kaiweets model KTI-W01. This is a great way to visually watch for a temperature change. Now turn on the rear window defroster and let it warm up for a minute.  After a minute, you can see the element in the window heating up, as shown by the lines. If you notice no lines in the glass, then the defroster isn’t working and this could be a faulty fuse, switch, or some other component in the circuit. If you’re noticing gaps in between an element or not all the elements are working, then there are breaks in the element. Breaks in the element can be repaired. The window can be inspected with the camera from the outside and inside the vehicle.  Thank you to all those who watch my videos and support my content.
