The first launch of Blue Origin's New Glenn rocket, mission name NG-1, is scheduled for no earlier than January 12, 2025, from Launch Complex 36 at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida. This is Blue Origin's first orbital launch attempt, aiming to compete in the heavy-lift rocket market. New Glenn stands at 98 meters tall and features a reusable first stage designed to land on a barge named Jacklyn in the Atlantic Ocean. The rocket will carry the Blue Ring Pathfinder, a test version of Blue Origin's spacecraft platform, to validate its communications and operational capabilities from orbit to ground.
