The journey begins with Stakna Monastery (Stakna Gompa), standing on a solitary hill overlooking the Indus River Valley, surrounded by the rugged terrain of the Trans-Himalayas. The sequence continues with views of the white-domed Shanti Stupa rising above Chanspa in Leh. A telephoto view highlights the sharp summit ridge of Stok Kangri (6,153 metres) in the Stok Range, while panoramic scenes reveal Leh town nestled beneath snow-covered mountains.
