Description

This is not resin. This is solid wood. I created this three-dimensional wall sculpture from solid ash wood, carefully hand-shaped to form flowing, dynamic waves. The goal was to make rigid wood look soft — almost liquid. Each colorful wave was carved, sanded, painted, and finished with a high-gloss lacquer to create a deep reflective surface that reacts to light. The dark sections between the waves are made from wenge wood, finished with a satin oil and wax treatment. The contrast between glossy color and satin dark wood enhances the depth and movement of the piece. Everything was shaped and finished by hand. 🪵 Solid ash wood 🖤 Wenge wood contrast 🌈 Hand-profiled flowing waves ✨ High-gloss lacquer + satin oil finish ✋ Fully handmade From a distance, it looks soft. Up close, you see the natural wood grain. Do you see a sculpture — or a painting? Leave a comment and tell me what you think.
