Discover how to create a seamless, comfortable transition with tips and tricks rooted in feline behavior: Pick a place and leave it there. Ideally, place Litter-Robot next to the old litter box. Don’t hide Litter-Robot right away, and prefer placing it where their scent is so they can identify is as a friendly piece of furniture. Keep it turned off at first. Don’t turn on Litter-Robot immediately to let your cat get used to the new location. Don’t change your litter. Try to keep the same cat litter you’ve been using unless not compatible with Litter-Robot. Don’t throw the old litter box away yet and allow your cat to use both boxes for a period of time, slowly reducing the frequency of cleaning the old box until your cat feels comfortable relying solely on Litter-Robot.
