Description
Leganes, Iloilo
June 4, 2026
To strengthen the country’s emergency response capability and expand access to life-saving public services, the Philippine National Police (PNP) and the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) spearheaded the simultaneous launch of four (4) Unified 911 Satellite Command Centers (SCCs) across Luzon and the Visayas at the Leganes Fire Station in Leganes, Iloilo.
The rollout included activating SCCs in Regions I, II and VIII, reinforcing the government’s efforts to establish a more responsive and integrated nationwide emergency response network. Through locally staffed, language-sensitive command hubs across Luzon and the Visayas, the initiative aims to strengthen coordination and improve emergency response delivery.
Unified 911 is the Philippines’ centralized emergency hotline, consolidating more than 200 local emergency contact numbers into a single, free, 24/7 emergency platform that connects callers to police, fire, medical and rescue services. The program is jointly implemented by the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) through the Emergency 911 National Office and the BFP.
