Unpopular opinion: you don't need to ask ChatGPT everything

This might be an unpopular opinion, but most people don't need to use cloud AI models for everything. Most people are using the most state-of-the-art AI models from ChatGPT or Claude to summarize documents or write emails for them, and frankly these models have gotten too smart for that. You don't need all the compute for everyday tasks. Running local models directly on your computer means you don't need the internet, your data is completely private, and you're not at the whims of the big AI labs.
