📖 Why End-Times Date Setting Is Doctrinally Impossible in the Dispensation of Grace
A Clear Biblical Declaration
For nearly 2000 years, men have repeatedly set dates for the rapture, the tribulation, or the return of Christ.
Dates were printed.
Charts were sold.
Books were promoted.
Timelines were announced with confidence.
And every single date passed.
No rapture.
No tribulation.
No prophetic clock restarting.
This is not about attacking individuals.
This is about confronting a doctrinal error.
📖 Date-Setting Contradicts Scripture
The Lord Himself declared:
Matthew 24:36
But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.
And before His ascension:
Acts 1:7
And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power.
If it is not given to men to know the times and seasons,
then publishing exact years, months, or countdown charts is not faith —
it is presumption.
📖 The Present Dispensation Explains the Delay
The reason date-setting fails is not because prophecy is unclear.
It fails because prophecy is not operating right now.
Paul reveals a different administration:
Ephesians 3:2
If ye have heard of the dispensation of the grace of God which is given me to you-ward:
And he explains Israel’s present condition:
Romans 11:25
For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in.
Israel is blinded.
The fulness of the Gentiles is being gathered.
The Body of Christ is being built.
Prophecy requires Israel’s rise.
Today Israel is fallen.
Romans 11:11
I say then, Have they stumbled that they should fall? God forbid: but rather through their fall salvation is come unto the Gentiles, for to provoke them to jealousy.
The prophetic program cannot advance while the mystery program is operating.
📖 The Catching Up Ends This Dispensation
Paul reveals a mystery event unknown in prophecy:
1 Thessalonians 4:16–17
16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
This event is not preceded by prophetic signs.
It is not tied to Israel’s calendar.
It is not announced by wars or blood moons.
It occurs when the fulness of the Gentiles is complete.
Until that moment, the prophetic clock remains paused.
📖 God Is Not the Author of Confusion
1 Corinthians 14:33
For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints.
Every failed prediction produces:
• Disillusionment
• Mockery from unbelievers
• Fear among believers
• Instability in doctrine
That confusion does not originate with God.
📖 Biblical Standard for False Predictions
The principle was given clearly:
Deuteronomy 18:22
When a prophet speaketh in the name of the LORD, if the thing follow not, nor come to pass, that is the thing which the LORD hath not spoken, but the prophet hath spoken it presumptuously: thou shalt not be afraid of him.
If a prediction fails, it was not from God.
That is not harsh.
That is Scripture.📖 A Final Declaration
End-times date setting is doctrinally impossible in the Dispensation of Grace.
Why?
Because:
• Israel is blinded.
• The prophetic clock is paused.
• The Body of Christ is being formed.
• The catching up has no revealed date.
When the Lord restarts prophecy, it will not require speculation.
Until then, believers are called to:
Preach the gospel of the grace of God.
Build up the Body of Christ.
Stand fast in Pauline doctrine.
Not chase prophetic headlines.
