In this video, I break down how I created a high-impact editorial shoot using a DIY headpiece that cost under $40, combined with strategic lighting design and collaborative creativity. For this shoot we created a DIY headpiece using inexpensive curtain fringe and wire, but the real magic happens when you layer thoughtful lighting, composition, and movement to create images that push creative boundaries. This setup uses only two lights to create the shape of light and control the spill a Westcott Optical Spot and a Grid. The result is a cohesive avant-garde image where every element, from styling to lighting, serves the creative vision. The key insight here is that you don't need expensive gear or a massive team, you need intentional choices and talented collaborators who want to push their creativity.
