Description

Rizal Memorial Coliseum, Malate, City of Manila June 3, 2026 President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. highlighted the importance of education in shaping a better future for Filipino youth, who are the nation's future leaders. He made this statement during the Meet and Greet with Batang Maynila Presidential Scholars at the Rizal Memorial Coliseum in the City of Manila on June 3, 2026. They were accompanied by their Barangay Captains, making it the largest gathering of scholars in the program. Recognizing the challenge many students face in completing their college education due to financial difficulties, the Administration has prioritized providing educational support by distributing Php20,000 in financial assistance to each scholar from the Socio-Civic Projects Fund (SCPF) via local government officials. The financial assistance is intended to help cover tuition and other school fees, the purchase of school supplies and books, transportation and meal allowances, and other educational expenses. An estimated 200,000 scholars are expected to graduate from this scholarship program by the end of the school year. According to the President, education is a treasure that no one can ever take away.
