I'm on an adventure, investigating whether or not I can acquire two little cabins in rural California for an experiment in sustainable community and to support artists, writers, thinkers, creatives as I expand my work away from intense political content and move back to my permaculture and regenerative-living roots. Problems I've run into in this section - Fire insurance is insanely expensive. - Can I get a mortgage? not likely. - I don't know if a partnership with other folks in the area is possible - the repairs on the property are EXTENSIVE (probably why it has not sold) -Fire insurance...can I get it? It's wildly expensive if so. - water is an issue in drought-ridden California -The property is in two zones and I am getting conflicting info about where the line is...need to do more research. - as of this video there is another offer accepted on the property. It has been hung up for almost 3 weeks withour contingencies being cleared. - I have no idea how I'm going to afford this property and the repairs. I'm trying to figure that out. Also, Salmon Creek is a project with a mission I believe in and want to augment and support. They are NOT open to the public, so please don't go show up at their property.
