Inside the simulation that's training our firefighters

UNSW’s iCinema Research Centre has developed immersive training to better prepare NSW firefighters for dangerous bushfires. The AI-driven 3D visualisation system, iFire, immerses firefighters and incident commanders in virtual fire environments, improving their ability to anticipate and respond to real-world scenarios. The Commissioners from Fire and Rescue NSW and the Rural Fire Service visited UNSW for a demonstration of the platform and its capabilities.
