2-Year-Old Cancer Warrior Plays Elton John After Surviving Twice

This is 3-year-old LJ and the song he’s singing helped him survive the fight of his life. He was diagnosed with leukemia in January last year. Things got really tough. There were complications and he spent nearly a year living in the hospital. At one point, he was even on a ventilator. But through it all, LJ held on to one thing: the movie Sing. More specifically, the song “I’m Still Standing.” His mom said it became his anthem. On the worst days, it gave him something to smile about, something to sing along to, and something to fight for. After 306 days in the hospital—including a bone marrow transplant that saved his life—LJ finally made it home. And how did he celebrate? With his karaoke mic, that same song, and the kind of joy you only get when you’ve stared down something hard... and made it through. He’s still standing. And he always will be.
