Description
It is exactly one week tonight since Donald Trump gave the order that unleashed - what he called - Operation Epic Fury.
More than a thousand people have since been killed across the Middle East.
Most of them, of course, in Iran.
But the US President today appeared to rule out any negotiated end to the conflict.
He demanded Iran's "unconditional surrender" - his condition, he said, for bringing the country back from "the brink of destruction".
That destruction has only continued today after its capital Tehran experienced its worst night so far.
Israeli forces have also increased their targeting of Hezbollah sites in Lebanon, with large-scale attacks in Beirut and the south.
The Health Ministry there says more than 200 people have now been killed.
Beirut is quiet tonight, but just in the last few hours there have been numerous strikes, with smoke seen across the city.
Despite claims that more than half of Iran's missile launchers have already been destroyed - oil and gas sites in Kuwait and Bahrain, and Kurdish bases in Northern Iraq, have been hit.
Iranian drones were also intercepted in Riyadh in Saudi Arabia.
And while three did hit the United Arab Emirates, the country's defence chiefs said 109 more had been blocked.
