The Cat Who Quietly Took Over a Police Station

Most police stations don’t have a cat on the team… but this one does. Meet Captain — an orange-and-white rescue cat who lives inside a real police station in Port Lavaca, Texas. What started as a simple adoption quickly turned into something much bigger. Captain now spends his days “patrolling” the station, supervising paperwork, inspecting desks, and, of course, taking very important naps right in the middle of everything. Officers treat him like one of their own, visitors instantly fall in love with him, and the internet can’t get enough. From a shelter cat to a local legend, Captain proves that even in serious places, a little bit of chaos (and a lot of fur) can make everything better.
