US will withdraw from IRAN in 'two to three weeks' but will leave allies to 'fend for themselves'

US President Donald Trump will deliver an update on the conflict with Iran in a major televised national address. The news comes after the President signalled he will end his war with Iran "soon" even if Tehran fails to agree a deal. He said the exit could take place "within two weeks, maybe two weeks, maybe three". He had previously said the UK should "take" the Strait of Hormuz themselves to solve the ongoing fuel crisis as the US won't be there to help anymore. World shipping has been badly impacted by the Strait being largely closed by Iran, and the president is now reportedly willing to end the US-Israeli conflict without insisting on it being reopened - originally part of his 15-point peace plan.
