Description
It's not often you get to see a clean example of a 90s Commodore let alone a car that used in the QLD Police force that's been fully restored to its former glory!
This 1990 Holden VN Commodore was originally purchased by Ian Gordan who was the Fleet manager for QPS. The car then serviced the Ipswich region in SEQ in this exact trim.
Excluding the additional Police Signs, lights, Radars and radios, theres a few differences from a standard 5.0L Executive including the 15x7" Pursuit steel rims, 22mm Wheel nuts, 80L Long range fuel tank, additional transmission cooler, Sump guard, FE2 Suspension with an upgraded front Sway Bar, LSD Differential and a 2 KM/H Incremental Speedo with a dedicated Interior light within the cluster.
Some other BT1 models had additional extras like alternative diff ratios, higher output alternators, and aftermarket rubber floor mats but options varied between fleet orders with what the car was being used for EG: Highway Patrol car, General Duties / Marked car and or Detective use / Un-marked cars.
It means a lot to me when people lend their vehicles to help out with content for the channel. If you'd like to also say thanks please consider supporting Blue Hope, an awesome independent organisation supporting current and former police officers in QLD.
