From 49 cars to just 12: back-to-back sessions will determine the half-dozen entries progressing to Top Qualifying 3 and the battle for pole position on Friday afternoon. All SP9 (GT3), SP-X, SP-PRO and AT1 entries take part in TQ1 before only the quickest 20 progress to TQ2. The seven quickest cars at the end of that session then join those that pre-qualified for the 12-strong shootout back in April (during the NLS Qualifiers weekend). A large number of the final dozen are likely to represent one of Intercontinental GT Challenge’s five competing manufacturers: BMW, Ford, Ferrari, Mercedes-AMG and Porsche.
