A remarkable dish is the pescaíto (small fried fish), which you can enjoy at many restaurants in the La Carihuela area of Torremolinos. Set just a few streets back from the beachfront promenade, you’ll find yourself lost among the charm of the quiet grid-like streets characterised by low-rise houses dressed in bright bougainvillaea. Peppered throughout the various nooks of La Carihuela are a few sparse remnants of the fishing village, a throwback to the area's seafaring past. The Rockin' Race Jamboree is an annual festival dedicated to paying homage to American "root music," blues, country, folk, rhythm and blues, rock... from the 40s, 50s and early 60s. The festival includes so many programs, concerts, food trucks and classic cars show. The whole festival is held from 4th to 8th of February, 2026.
