En medio del inmenso calor de la ciudad de Culiacán, el sonido electrónico que surge en la noche ha ido tomando formas diversas y estimulantes gracias al trabajo de un grupo de productores jóvenes. ¿Qué pasa en esta ciudad que busca alejarse de estereotipos nacidos de la narcocultura y la violencia a través de la creatividad y el baile? Un grupo de chicos que buscan crear otra ciudad posible al sentir la armonía y vibraciones de la música electrónica. Uno de estos músicos es Roliva, proyecto musical de Ricardo Oliva, quien desde hace unos años se ha ido convirtiendo en un referente de la electrónica de esta ciudad del Noroeste. Esto gracias a las múltiples grabaciones que han sido publicadas a través de sellos discográficos nacionales e internacionales de gran relevancia en la escena electrónica como ROAM Recordings (USA), Night Noise (Amsterdam), Dogs & Vultures (Madrid), Nein Records (Inglaterra), Duro y La Volta Ros de México. A lo largo de su carrera, Roliva ha explorado un gran número de géneros alejándose de uno en específico. Proveniente de la tradición de tocar en proyectos de bandas de Punk, el músico encontró en la música electrónica una oportunidad para seguir explorando. Sin poder encasillarse en un género el sonido del músico culiacanense toma formas muy diversas que hace de sus grabaciones y sus presentaciones una gran experiencia. Entre los guiños al Disco, el baile y el Acid House hasta sonidos más intensos y psicodélicos Texto de prensa: Have you ever felt like everything falls apart, like a Lego set that never comes back the same? That's exactly what Roliva & Marito Ramirez refer to in their new collaboration: a track that fuses the pop influences of both northern artists with an analog and acid touch, characteristic of the Culiacán native. This single, inspired by the metaphor of the game that falls apart piece by piece, explores the idea of loss and reconstruction, with that characteristic sense of humor of the Ciudad Juárez native. The EP has remixes by Mahkina, a producer from the Bajío region, who offers a nostalgic and sentimental version with a finely nineties aesthetic, which strips Marito's voice and envelopes it in a melancholic and distant atmosphere. Meanwhile, Mundo D, from Spain, brings a cut full of energy, in his pure High-Energy style, euphoric and direct, with dominant melodies that make the track an ideal piece for the peak of the night. Lastly, Prince Terrible is in charge of closing the EP with a dynamic remix that combines his Electroclash influences with Hyperpop, in an aesthetic and visual proposal, that could well be heard on any fashion catwalk.
