Description

During our Harrier and Safari media drives a lot of people complained that their ORVMs wont go back to normal position after dipping down in reverse for a better view of the kerb. We took this issue up with Tata Motors personnel who explained that this happens because by default the mirror doesn't know which position to go back to unless you have assigned a position for it in the Drive mode and saved it to memory. So basically you have to assign a position for both reverse and drive modes to the mirror for at least the default memory slot which is memory 1. This is not a very elegant solution, as the mirror should go back to at least some default position. There can also be a notification on the instrument console to let the driver know what he needs to do. In any case, here is a demo of how you can make sure that the mirrors of your new 2026 Harrier or Safari go back to the position of your choosing when you put it back from reverse to drive.
