Description

Villamor Air Base, Pasay City April 3, 2026 In accordance with President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.’s directive to provide quick assistance to Filipinos affected by the Middle East crisis and to ensure government services are always available to them, the seventh chartered flight arrived at Villamor Air Base in Pasay City on April 3, 2026. A total of 344 passengers were on the flight from Zayed International Airport in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), including 228 overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) and 68 dependents, with eight (8) of them being infants. Also on the flight are 48 stranded tourists. These OFWs and their dependents were repatriated from Dubai amid the ongoing crisis in the Middle East. Upon arrival, they were reunited with their families and received assistance from the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW), Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), and Department of Health (DOH). The assistance includes food support for OFWs, their dependents, and next of kin; temporary accommodation; transportation assistance, including domestic flight arrangements; psychosocial counseling; reintegration services; and special financial assistance.
