Every car buyer has done it. Stood in a showroom, picked the car that does most of what they want, made a few compromises and signed the cheque. After all, there is no one car that does everything. Or so you thought. The BMW X6 M60i makes a serious case for being exactly that car. A 4.4-litre V8 producing 523bhp and 750Nm. Zero to 100 in 4.3 seconds. An M Sport differential, rear-wheel steering and rear-biased AWD that makes an SUV this size corner faster and harder than anything this heavy has any right to. Bump it into Sport mode and the suspension tightens, the steering sharpens and the X6 M60i does something that most big performance SUVs only promise — it actually drives like a sports car. But the BMW X6 M60i is not just a performance machine. The exterior is wide, tall and unmistakable — 21-inch M alloys, M mirrors, a swooping roofline, blacked out trim and exhaust pipes that look as serious as they sound. Inside, twin curved screens, maroon leather, backlit dashboard elements and a 16-speaker Harman Kardon audio system set the tone. The seats heat, cool and massage. The boot offers 580 litres expandable to 1,580 litres. Air suspension and dynamic dampers mean the ride is compliant enough for the family on a bad road without losing the sporting edge on a good one. Performance SUV. Luxury saloon. Family hauler. One car. One cheque. Expected price around ₹1.6 to 1.8 crore ex-showroom — and at that price, the only real compromise is fuel efficiency. It is a V8 and it will drink accordingly.
