2010 vs 2025: Kitten to Cat

The form hasn’t changed. The outcome… also hasn’t changed. Oh, my Shosho. Even as a baby, your hind legs never quite worked the way I thought a cat’s were supposed to - and, honestly, they still don’t. There was a stretch, back when we lived in the concrete loft, where you could really dig your back claws in and get some lift (see: The Felympics), but mostly you’ve always jumped like a cat who’s still figuring it out. Still, I’m just happy that at 14½, you can still jump at all! Meanwhile, Kokobean - just a few months past his 13th birthday - is still casually leaping onto the counter like it’s nothing. And if you're wondering what I’m doing in 2025 that gets Shorty jumping? I’m just opening the fridge. The sun hits that spot just right, and every morning she waits for the “evil light sprites” to appear - then goes full attack mode the second the fridge opens. Lol.
