Both concerts at Bab Makina sold out weeks in advance. I say that not with pride, but with profound gratitude — because it told me, before a single note was played, that something real and profound was being felt. The connection and emotion is palpable and undeniable. These two nights marked the official debut of the Fons Sophiae Collective — the international ensemble I founded — and I could not have asked for a more luminous stage for their arrival. The final piece was Noor. And for the first time in my life, I performed alongside the Konya Metropolitan Whirling Dervishes. There are experiences that don’t translate into language. That was one of them. To every musician and vocalist, to the Fes Festival, and to all of you — thank you. Fez leaves something in you that doesn’t fade. We bring that spirit now to Istanbul and Ankara in the coming days!
