Extreme Seal Rescue: No Matter The Cost, No Matter The Smell

Wildlife rescue is definitely not for the faint of heart. Today, our team had to dive straight into a churning pool of seal excrement to secure an entangled pup. To put it mildly: it was absolutely disgusting. But when an animal's life is on the line, conditions are rarely ideal. Commitment is everything, and these seals need our help no matter how messy the circumstances get. Doing this kind of dirty work is a daily reality on the remote Skeleton Coast. Just imagine the smell inside our rescue vehicle after driving hours back to civilization completely drenched in this water! It’s messy, it’s exhausting, and it smells terrible.
