Big relief for beneficiaries of the Ayushman Bharat-Gopabandhu Jan Arogya Yojana. The Health Department has issued a fresh advisory directing empanelled hospitals not to charge patients for pre-hospitalization and post-hospitalization expenses. Medical tests conducted up to three days before admission and follow-up care for up to 15 days after discharge will now be covered under the scheme package. Diagnostic tests, medicines, post-operative care, and necessary follow-up visits will be provided free of cost.
