Classic Italian track Mugello was the place to be last week, when Haas was on site to provide its ex-pilot Romain Grosjean with a chance to again drive an F1 car after five years away. Grosjean last raced for the growing American team at the 2020 Bahrain Grand Prix, where he endured the fiery accident that ended his F1 career; before his Transatlantic switch to Indycar. The Swiss-Frenchman enjoyed the wet conditions, and said it was fantastic to drive F1’s new generation of cars. His emotions got the better of him though when the pit lane applauded his return to the pits.
