Description
Onboard Transwa's new Alstom ADR/ADS class DMU for its Australind service, while on its first day in service - abeit limited to 1 trip each way and only running on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday until the other 3 units are put onto service later on in which additional trips will then be provided.
Really impressed with the new train and also the fact that I found myself chilling out in the vestibule area for most of the trip; otherwise the seats feels nice for a 2.5 hour rail trip. Couple of things I like is the bike & luggage racks in the vestibule, and the easy access of bins when seated in the ADR unit. Not shown here was the issue of seat allocation that was caused by the placement of seat number labels (which should have been amended by then as one onboard staff had requested Transwa to amend them).
