After two years in the shed, it’s finally time to take Ron Burgundy — my freshly-built TD42 Turbo Patrol — out for its very first off-road test! We’re heading to the iconic Glasshouse Mountains to see what this beast can do. In this episode, I run through: First impressions of the TD42 build Testing front and rear lockers Flex and clearance checks on Powerline Track Real-world feedback from its first 4x4 run This Nissan Patrol GU is powered by a TD42 with a 10mm pump and upgraded turbo setup, built from the ground up to be reliable, tough, and ready for Aussie tracks. Nothing broke (surprisingly!), but we did find one issue — the tyres are scrubbing bad on full flex. Easy fix though!
