India are scheduled to play plenty of T20Is before the mega event, giving the team enough time to experiment with players and combinations. With a fresh leadership transition, the start to Shreyas Iyer's T20I captaincy will be closely watched and working alongside head coach Gautam Gambhir, he would be looking to expand his footprint in the dressing room. Abhishek Sharma and Ishan Kishan are expected to open the innings while there would be a toss-up between comeback man Sanju Samson and teenage prodigy Vaibhav Sooryavanshi at number three in Suryakumar's absence. Newly appointed T20 captain Shreyas Iyer will bat at number four. Both Shreyas and Tilak linked with the India squad in Belfast before the team travelled to the historic ground on Thursday. Tilak Varma, the vice-captain batter in the side, is part of the middle-order and Suryansh Shedge is likely to follow him in the batting line-up at number six.
