CBI Raid in Bhubaneswar Over WAPCOS Tender Fixing Scam | Kanak News Shorts

In a major corruption crackdown, the Lucknow unit of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has launched a probe into alleged tender fixing in WAPCOS (Water and Power Consultancy Services) projects in Bhubaneswar. CBI has registered a case against 8 individuals, including WAPCOS Bhubaneswar Project Manager Pankaj Dubey, officials Bhavadyuti Bhutia and Abhishek Thakur, along with Uttar Pradesh-based contractor Babul Singh Yadav and middleman Gopal Mishra. According to investigation sources, after tenders were published, confidential documents were allegedly shared to manipulate the bidding process. It is alleged that 4–6% commission of the tender value was taken in exchange for fixing contracts. Following the revelations, CBI conducted raids at six locations including WAPCOS Bhubaneswar office, Rayagada, and Lucknow.
