It’s all at stake for six-year-old black labrador, Wella. A home-made explosive detection exercise took place at Trentham Military Camp for government and international partners who employ dogs to detect the presence of potential explosive threats. It’s not all about the stereotypical ‘tough’ dog. Mixed among the Belgian malinois and German shepherds are English springer spaniels, labradors, and collie-crosses.
