EPCOT’s New Soarin’ Across America — Is It Better Than the Original?

My first reaction to Soarin’ Across America at EPCOT in Walt Disney World was honestly less than stellar. I went to the Disney Passholder preview excited to experience the new version of Soarin’, but after waiting in a packed queue and finally riding it, the attraction felt like a missed opportunity for Disney World and EPCOT. Soarin’ Across America had the potential to be an incredible Disney Parks experience that truly showcased the scale, beauty, cities, landmarks, and natural wonders of the United States. Instead, parts of the ride felt underwhelming, especially when thinking about how many amazing American locations Disney could have included. In this Disney World ride review, I talk about my honest reaction to the Soarin’ Across America passholder preview at EPCOT, why the queue felt packed, why the ride felt like a missed opportunity, and why Disney may have dropped the ball on what could have been one of the most exciting EPCOT updates.
