Maia Kinney-Petrucha is a writer, performer, and social media influencer living in Massachusetts. She speaks with BI about being diagnosed with obsessive-compulsive disorder at age 4. With nearly 140,000 followers on TikTok, Kinney-Petrucha has spoken publicly about how OCD influences daily routines, social interactions, and academic work. She describes living with intrusive thoughts and compulsive behaviors that are "chronic" and “uncontrollable” in many respects. Kinney-Petrucha co-wrote a play about her OCD called "I'm So OCD."
