The official post-MAFS show, hosted by Jules Lund, Brittany Hockley and Laura Byrne, has already invited a few 2026 cast members on to explain their side of the story, reveal what really went down and also air unseen footage.
Rumours started to swirl that Gia pulled out of appearing on the spin-off show at the last minute, but she cleared up what really happened in a recent statement.
She said, “Last week I was invited to appear and flew to Sydney with every intention of attending. Unfortunately, I was admitted to hospital due to being unwell and wasn’t able to go ahead. I didn’t ‘chicken out’, I simply prioritised my health at the time.”
Gia explained that she’s since been invited back on the show, but has decided not to appear.
She added, “After reflecting on my own behaviour at the dinner party, I don’t feel it’s appropriate or aligned for me to sit there and critique anyone else. It wouldn’t feel authentic for me to call out other people’s actions as a way of deflecting from my own.”
