DAILY CATHOLIC MASS 2/21/26 | The Call of Levi: Mercy for the Sinner and the Journey of Lent

We are called to honor the Sabbath and find our delight in the Lord. -The Responsorial Psalm (Ps 86): A humble plea for spiritual instruction: "Teach me your way, O Lord, that I may walk in your truth". -The Holy Gospel (Luke 5:27-32): Jesus sees a tax collector named Levi sitting at his post and says to him, "Follow me". Leaving everything behind, Levi gets up and follows Him, later hosting a great banquet where Jesus declares, "I have not come to call the righteous to repentance but sinners". May the gift of heavenly life we receive today help us reach eternity and protect us from all affliction.
