Make QUiLTED COOKiES with Us! | Mindy McKnight (ft BrooklynAndBailey & KamriNoel)

Did you know you can make QUiLTED COOKiES? I just knew we had to try this, so I invited Brooklyn and Bailey, as well as Kamri, over to try it! I originally saw this cookie decorating idea on TikTok from Lauren_Dozier, but I used one of my own sugar cookie recipes as well as naturally-derived food coloring, instead of artificial coloring. When I mixed up the dough with the coloring, I wasn't sure exactly how they would turn out as the dough had more dark earthy tones. After baking, the cookies lightened up quite a bit into light pastels! SO CUTE! The square cookie cutters, food coloring, etc, are available on Amazon. I also linked them here in the video. I think the cookies turned out adorable, and we will most likely add this to our family traditions each Easter/Spring season! What do y'all think? Here is the recipe for the cookies: Ingredients: • ¾ cup butter, softened • 1 cup sugar • 2 eggs • 1 teaspoon vanilla • 2½ cups flour • 1 teaspoon baking powder • 1 teaspoon salt Instructions: 1. Cream together the butter and sugar until smooth. 2. Add eggs and mix well. 3. Mix in the vanilla, baking powder, and salt. 4. Add the flour last and mix until fully combined. 5. Cover the dough and chill for at least 1 hour before rolling. 6. Preheat the oven to 400° F. 7. roll dough to ⅛-inch thick and cut into shapes. 8. Bake for 6-8 minutes, until the cookies are just barely golden on the edges.
