Description

A variety of calls of the Eastern Yellow Robin, including the commonly heard piping whistles, scolding chatter and sharp whistles. The sharp whistled notes (1:18-2:23) of the Eastern Yellow Robin are often one of the first bird sounds of the dawn chorus in many forests of south-eastern Australia. These sharp notes are usually only heard at dawn and dusk. Throughout the day this species sings with repetitive piping whistles, which can sound similar to the song of the White-throated Treecreeper.
