TKM 34th iCARE initiative: Empowering women-led Self-Help Groups in rural Karnataka | Hindi

For its 34th iCARE initiative, Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) brought together 250 volunteers, including TKM employees and their families, for a meaningful natural soap-making activity at NSS Bhavan, Bangalore University. The team crafted 1,001 eco-friendly soaps to support Self Help Groups (SHGs) like Sreelakshmi Swasahaya Sanga and Basaveshwara Swami Mahila Swasahaya Sanga in Ramanagara district, Karnataka. TKM provided sustainable tools, packaging materials, and hands-on training to help these women-led SHGs scale their micro-enterprises. This initiative supports eco-friendly practices and women's financial independence, aligning with national goals such as Viksit Bharat 2047 and Skill India. Rooted in Toyota’s core values of diversity, equity, and inclusion, this effort reflects TKM’s commitment to building self-reliant communities and driving sustainable impact through its CSR pillars.
