We Drove 150km to Help an Abandoned 70-Year-Old Grandfather & His 3-Year-Old Grandson

Today, together with our volunteers, we drove 150km from Kampala into a remote village in Kiboga District, Uganda. What we found changed us forever. We met a 70-year-old grandfather living alone with his 3-year-old grandson in a single rented room. They had almost nothing — no security, no comfort, only faith. They never expected what would happen that day. We provided food supplies to last for months, new beddings, a mattress, clothes, and most importantly, we renovated their room into a clean, safe, and dignified home. The smiles and relief on their faces reminded us why humanity matters. This is the reality many people live in — unseen, unheard, and abandoned.
