Description
May 14, 2026
Sacramento Regional Transit light rail trains on the SACRT Blue Line pass through the 47th Avenue railroad crossing using the crossover switch south of the crossing to turn trains back due to platform construction ahead at the Florin and Meadowview Stations prompting a bus shuttle bridge between 47th Avenue and Franklin Stations.
Note also, car 114 is now an artwork wrap car livery. Note that it's the same mural that's on the southern wall at the 15th St crossing which is new there.

This crossing is a jointly owned crossing between Union Pacific Railroad and Sacramento Regional Transit. The right shoulder signal and left gateless signal this side are an UP Early 2010s signal install with its gate and gate lights changed. The close median signal is an UP early 2020s signal install with a light and light head change and gate changed. The left shoulder signal and right gateless signal are an SACRT early 2020s signal install type A with its gate, gate lights, mechanism, and counterweight arms changed. The far median signal is made from SACRT late 1980s, 1980s, and early 2000s signal equipment when installed in the early 2000s as a knock down replacement with its bell, gate, gate lights, mechanism, and counterweight arms changed. Note the UP median is also a knock down replacement as the median signals here are prone to being knocked down.
