Gajar Halwa Barfi recipe
Preparation for Gajar Halwa:
Carrot (Shredded) 1 ½ kg
Milk 2 cups
Cardamom powder 1 tsp
Sugar 1 1/2 cup
Ghee 1cup
Preparation for Khoya Mixture:
Desiccated coconut 1 cups
Khoya 1cup
Cardamom powder 1/2 tsp
Sugar 1/2 cup
Ghee 2 tbsp
Pistachio (chopped) as required garnishing
Gajar Halwa Preparation:
1.In a pot add shredded carrots and cook it until it’s moisture dries out, now add milk, cardamom
powder, sugar and cook for 15-20 mins while stirring continuously.
2.Now add ghee and cook for another 15-20 mins.
Preparation for Khoya Mixture:
3.In a deep pan add desiccated coconut and roast it for 3-4 min.
4.Now add khoya, cardamom powder, sugar and ghee and cook for 3-4mins.
5.Now take greased butter paper lined tray and evenly spread khoya mixture on it.
6.Now put gajar halwa mixture on it and spread it evenly on the khoya mixture.
7.Lastly add pistachio on top of it. And let it rest for 1 and a half hour.
8.Now cut in pieces.Gajar Halwa Barfi is ready.
