Description

Oriental Bittersweet is a highly invasive plant that grows and spreads rapidly and chokes out trees and native plants. This video does not show the extent of the damage the plant has done to my local forest- the example shown is very mild compared to what has happened to another trail. this plant quite literally kills trees. it makes me so sad to see! I've contacted the DNR forestry department about it already, but they've not responded to my email (that was months ago). I'll send them another email and see if I can't find a number to call. but until I get help with it, I'll do what I can to help keep it from destroying my local forest. if you find Oriental Bittersweet in your area (not to be confused with American Bittersweet), please contact your local DNR and hopefully you'll have better luck. 🤦🏻‍♀️ If not... maybe make some viney crafts with me? anyway, this video shows me making the start of a basket out of oriental bittersweet. I'm doing my best 🫡 #invasiveplants #orientalbittersweet #basketweaving #themagiccrafter #fairylife
