https://buymeacoffee.com/g0ojf After servicing this 1990 version of the Maxcom 20E, it was time to test it. Unfortunately a day of noisy band. Recorded 23rd June 2026 Mr Chippie drove along our usual 6-mile test route, the 'wrong side' of a hill. He stopped at the five mile point to test this set as a low power static test. The radio was set for 4.0W for full power & 0.4W (400mW) for low power. Our own standard replacementl mike was used throughout. Our continued thanks to Thunderpole for kindly supplying the T3000 radio (and new mike) which is fitted to the test vehicle at no cost to us.
