Ingredients for Air Fryer Chicken Malai Tangdi Kabab:
(Tsp-Teaspoon; Tbsp-Tablespoon)
- Chicken Drumsticks (legs) - 6 (approx. 450-500 gms)
Cashew-Chilli Paste:
- Cashew nuts- 10
- Green Chilli-2 nos
- Water-3 tbsp
For the Marination:
- Thick Curd or yogurt - 5 tbsp
- Cashew -Chilli paste- made earlier
- Ginger Garlic paste- 2 tsp
- Salt-1.25 tsp
- Fresh Cream- 2 tbsp
- Turmeric powder-1/4 tsp
- Black pepper powder-1/2 tsp
- Garam Masala Powder- 3/4 tsp
- Kasuri Methi powder- 1 tsp (dry roasted & powdered)
- Refined oil- 1 tbsp
Other Ingredients:
- Butter, for basting(melted) - 1 tbsp
Preparation:
- To prepare thick curd/yogurt for this recipe add the curd/yogurt to a strainer to remove the water/whey. This should take around 10-15 mins.
- Wash and pat dry the whole Chicken Legs/drumsticks
- Now make 2 slits on the thick portion of the chicken drumsticks.
- For the marinade, add all the ingredients in a bowl. Mix it well with a whisk or spoon and add all the chicken drumsticks. Make sure the drumsticks are fully coated with the marinade.
- Set aside to marinate for 2 hours in the refrigerator. Take out the marinated chicken from the refrigerator 30 mins before placing in the air fryer.
Process:
- Take out the basket from the Air fryer and spray/brush it with oil.
- Now place the marinated chicken pieces side by side in the basket making sure not to put too much marinade. (The marinade could burn if it’s too much)
- Put the basket back into the Air fryer and choose
Mode-Chicken
Temperature- (will come automatically at 180)
Time- 20 mins
- Pause after 10 mins and baste it with butter. If your air fryer requires it you can flip it too.
- Close the basket and continue for another 12 mins.
- Once done remove the basket, check if it’s browned or else air fryer for another 2 mins
