Description
Travelling across Africa is becoming easier for some, but for millions of Africans, crossing the continent can still mean expensive flights, visa requirements and long, indirect journeys. Just weeks after Togo announced visa-free entry for citizens of all African countries, adding fresh momentum to calls for freer movement across the continent, questions remain about how easy it really is for Africans to travel, trade and do business with one another. Daniel Dadzie examines why barriers to movement persist despite the ambitions of the African Continental Free Trade Area, and what still needs to change before a truly borderless Africa becomes a reality.
