Squirrel Snack Hangout #wildlife

This squirrel runs up like she’s late and it’s MY fault. So we offer her some bird seed. She accepts with her tiny little hands. And for a brief, magical moment… I’m holding hands with a squirrel. I feel chosen. Now, being a true gentleman, I pass this sacred experience over to Ashley. Because obviously she deserves to hold hands with the squirrel too. But then something happens. The squirrel looks at Ashley. Looks back at me. then locks onto my hand like a toddler grabbing your leg in Target. And suddenly it all makes sense. It’s cold. Food is scarce. And sometimes… you just need to HANG… onto someone warm who has snacks.
